Licensed Counseling Psychologist
About me
Hi, I'm Moni.
I'm a Licensed Counseling Psychologist with over 15 years of experience supporting adults through emotional difficulties, relationships, life transitions and the impact of difficult experiences.
Over the years, my work has become increasingly focused on trauma and attachment — particularly understanding how the ways we learned to protect ourselves can continue shaping our emotions, relationships and sense of self long after they're needed.
I don't see therapy as a process of "fixing" what's wrong with you. I'm interested in helping you understand what makes sense about the way you've learned to cope, while creating enough safety for something different to become possible.
How I work
My work is trauma-informed and integrates Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).
Both approaches are grounded in curiosity rather than judgment. We might explore the different parts of you that show up to protect you, the emotional patterns you find yourself repeating, your attachment experiences, and what happens internally when you feel threatened, rejected, overwhelmed or disconnected.
Therapy isn't only about understanding why you feel the way you do. It's also about experiencing yourself differently.
